I am proud that Medical University of Pleven will be hosting an ambitious and brave scientific project from 12th to 15th October 2011 – the 9th International Medical Scientific Conference for Students and Young Doctors!

I hope that this traditional scientific event will again bring together medical students and young scientists from different countries and will create a unique positive and friendly atmosphere for all international participants to present and share original research results, new ideas and viewpoints on the problems of up-to date medicine.

Let everyone feel the team high spirit and initiative, the opportunity for intercultural dialogue with shared knowledge, research experience and modern perspectives.

DEAR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS,

Welcome to the 9th International Scientific Medical Conference for Students and Young Doctors organized by us here at the Medical University of Pleven.

The year 2011 has been designated as the European Year of Volunteering, and also as the International Year of Forests.  The venerability of the Bulgarian deciduous forests gives us the perfect idea of unifying medical youth and potential in the name of Health.

We believe that besides the educational and clinical experience obtained by medicine, with this youth conference which is traditional for our University, we intertwine our efforts like the branches of the tree of Life  in order to protect it, help people, be empathetic, and encourage  active citizen involvement.

We will be happy if during the course of the 9th scientific conference we succeed to become better individuals, more dedicated, and more benevolent because there is nothing more sublime and beautiful than giving happiness to people. Health is the greatest happiness!

Let’s look into the future together, and try to see a better world, which is noble to us, our parents, our children!
